Don’t Study Your Competitors
* The English version is at the bottom.*

------------------------ English Version -------------------------

Don’t study your competitors.
Focus on yourself.

Over the past year, Flap’s product has been copied more than once.
At first, it bothered me.
Now I see it differently.
If they choose to copy you, it usually means you found something worth copying.
It is because they are not looking for new questions.
They are looking for answers that already worked.
So when people start copying you, don’t just get annoyed.
Take the signal.
It means the market noticed.
Now move faster.

Over the past two years of building, I’ve learned something.
The ideas that actually change a market usually look stupid at first.
Nobody gets it.
Nobody believes it.
Some people laugh at it.
Some people call it a mistake.
And sometimes, they are right.
That’s part of building.
But new markets don’t come from ideas that’s safe.
They come from the weird ones.
The messy ones.
The ones most people don’t want to touch until someone else has already made them obvious.
The only true PVE asset is yourself, kill yourself nigga
Description

That is what BNB Chain needs more of.
Not a copy of something that already worked well on this chain.
Not the same product with a new logo.
More teams trying things that are still unproven.
More teams willing to look wrong for a while.
More teams turning ridiculous ideas into real products.
Because every once in a while,
one of those ridiculous ideas becomes the next thing someone else wants to copy.

That changed how I think about competition.
Being copied is not the real problem.
The real question is:
when they start copying your last move,
are you already working on what comes next?
They can copy the product.
They can copy the feature.
Sometimes they can even copy the exact words.
But they don’t see the hard part.
The wrong turns.
The insights.
The small decisions.
The months of building that made the final thing look simple.
The product is not the whole edge.
It is just the answer on the surface, at this moment in time.
The real edge is knowing what should exist before it becomes obvious.
Most people can recognize a good answer after the market validates it.
But very few teams can find the next question and make it real before everyone else sees it.
That is why we spend less and less time studying competitors.
Not because competition does not matter.
It does.
But if all your attention is on what other teams are doing today,
you have already given up the lead.
A team’s future is not decided by what competitors ship today.
It is decided by what the team can still create tomorrow.

So if you are building on BNB,
don’t stop just because people don’t understand you yet.
And don’t get distracted just because someone is following behind you.
Being copied is not the problem.
Stopping is the problem.
Let them chase your yesterday.
You build tomorrow.

Don’t study your competitors.
If you are ahead,
sooner or later,
they will study you.
Builders create.
Markets follow.
